A SUITE OF NEW WORKS by DAVID ROBERT HILL + HILL PAINTING PRIZE - FINALISTS, GALLERY ARTISTS

Rex-Livingston in Katoomba presents A Suite of New Works by David Robert Hill + Hill Painting Prize 2026, selected finalists from our gallery artists chosen by the judges in the innaugural prize. 

The Selected Artists: Judi Moss, Nick Stathopoulos, Phil Stallard, Jude Rose, Maree Azzopardi, N.G Malla, Rachel Carroll 

David Robert Hill has established the Hill Painting Prize. It's rare an artist becomes a benefactor of much needed art events/prizes in the arts calendar, providing exhibition opportunities, recognition, and of course, financial support for artists. Hill should be congratulated and praised for his generous philanthropy.  The innaugural Hill Painting Prize is held at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre from 8 Aug – 20 Sept, 2026. 

The Hill Painting Prize is a celebration of the natural landscapes, urban spaces and manmade environments of the Blue Mountains, captured through the medium of painting. It is held on a biennale basis and is open to artists from across Australia.
