    Rex-Livingston  Art + Objects works with high quality emerging and mid-career artists, through to Australian investment artists. We sell on consignment works by; Sidney Nolan, Adam Cullen, Martin Sharp, McLean Edwards, Arthur Boyd, Brett Whiteley, Charles Blackman, Garry Shead, Margaret Olley, Fred Williams, John Firth-Smith, Albert Tucker and James Gleeson among others.

    The Gallery works as agent/broker/dealer with contemporary artists including; Paul Rhodes, Penelope Sai, Margarita Georgiadis, Tim Draxl, Ena Joyce, Sofie Dieu, Jude Rose, Josh Bullen, The Estate of Kim Mackell, Rebecca Verpoorten-Laws (ceramics), Judi Moss, Rick Ball, Mike Wall, Philip Hammial, Amanda van Gils, Peter Rozario, Russell French (ceramics) David McKenzie, Trevor 'Turbo' Brown, Mimi Jaksic-Berger, Yong-joo Marbot, Margaret Proctor, Mark Gerada, Clinton Barker, Maree Azzopardi, Zohar (hand sculpted jewellery), Rita Orsini (resin bowls, jewellery and art lamps) and Joseph Purtle (ceramics) among others.

    The gallery has two venues for viewing artworks;

    @ Our gallery and project space, 182-184 Katoomba Street, KATOOMBA, NSW 2780,​ OPENING HOURS: 11am to 5pm - Thursday through Sunday, Monday by appointment (closed Tuesday & Wednesday)

    @ The Whole Tooth,  4 Short Street, SURRY HILLS, NSW 2010. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm & Saturday 9am to 12 midday

    Other services offered include;
    Consultancy, Auction brokerage and private treaty sales, Valuations for insurance/settlements, art restoration and framing, secure storage, genre specific 'collection building' advice and resales, artist's studio spaces and artist's exhibition/lease space through Rex-Livingston Projects.

    The gallery accommodates on level 1 the studio of  Zohar - hand sculpted jewellery - (room 3)

    The Director, David Rex-Livingston, has more than 30 years experience in the art market - covering areas such as Auction sales and management, management for dealer galleries including Martin Browne Fine Art, along with formal academic qualifications in Art Education, (Grad Diploma in Education), a Bachelor of Arts - Art & Design (Curtin University WA) and a Postgraduate in Professional Art Studies (painting) from City Art Institute (now COFA), Sydney.


    'From Here To There' John Firth-Smith monograph

    With an extension to it's art market interests, Rex-Livingston launched its official, first publication of fine art catalogues and books, with the only available monograph on John Firth-Smith, From Here to There, written by Anita Angel, at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in November 2006. The now very rare 200 page monograph focuses on the works produced in New York over Firth-Smith's career and retails for $100.00 inc gst.
